13 of Our Favorite Black-owned Businesses

Although African American's make up 12.7% of the U.S. population, they represent only 4.3% of the country's 22.2 million business owners. Black entrepreneurs face less access to start-up and other kinds of capital. Therefore making it more difficult for them to maintain a business, let alone start one. The Black community has been hit hard due to the pandemic, yet we have some businesses out there that are still standing and doing pretty well for themselves. That in itself is no easy feat.

Here are 13 of our favorite Black-owned businesses. While there are so many other Black businesses that we love and support, we want to lift up these businesses for all they're doing. If you get the opportunity, check them out for yourself and try to support them however you can.
